CAD Technician
Salary - Circa 34,000 DOE
Location - In Office, Wellingborough
We've partnered with a prestigious specialist design & manufacturing company who've been situated in the washroom solutions market for over three decades, predominantly within the commercial sector. With a wealth of knowledge and the latest machine technology, they're able to produce the highest quality products.
With substantial growth over the last year, they're now looking for experienced CAD Technicians to join their growing design team.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
* Creating high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans using Autodesk AutoCAD based on designs supplied by architects and designers
* Liaise with architects, engineers, and designers to understand their design requirements
* Provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings
* Ensure drawings are compliant with building regulations and health and safety standards and protocols
* Consider best installation/ production practise for products with input from contracts managers/ installers where required
* Raise potential cost issues to Quantity Surveyors if design alters from original quotation/ design
* Produce additional installation and manufacturing documentation ad hoc
* Create internal order paperwork and material call offs where required
* Assist with CNC programming on a ad hoc basis
Experiences required
* Good knowledge in AutoCAD or similar to create designs in 2D is essential with scope to use 3D packages
* Background in creating detailed technical production drawing packs from conceptual designs
* Relevant industry background in joinery, furniture or similar is essential
