Senior Quantity Surveyor
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a renowned tier 1 main contractor based in Hampshire. The business operates nationally from regional offices, undertaking projects across education, defence, commercial and healthcare sectors valuing from £20mil to £80mil. Due to a recent project win in the region, they are now looking to expand the commercial team with an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre‑construction through to final account, reporting into the Commercial Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Work alongside the pre‑construction team on any 2-stage tenders
* Oversee the team’s procurement / management of subcontractor packages
* Deal with final accounts and any dispute resolution that may arise
* Liaise with the client’s teams
* Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development
Key Requirements
* Hold a BSc in Quantity Surveying or an HNC
* Have experience managing projects from pre‑construction through to final account
* Be proficient in administering various forms of contract, including JCT and NEC
* Must live in a commutable location to Weymouth and be happy to visit the office as required
* Must have full right to work in the UK
