Temporary Accounts Receivable Assistant (3-6 Month Contract)We are seeking a Temporary Accounts Receivable Assistant to join a busy team on an initial 3-6-month contract. The role is based near Romsey, near Southampton.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is currently studying towards, or has recently completed, AAT and is looking to further develop their career within finance. The role has been newly created to support a growing workload and will initially focus on one business unit, with the potential to support additional entities as required.Key ResponsibilitiesRaising and issuing customer invoices accurately and in a timely mannerEnsuring invoices are aligned to purchase orders, contracts and customer requirementsProcessing credit notes where requiredMonitoring customer accounts and maintaining accurate recordsAssisting with the collection of outstanding debts and reducing aged debt balancesAllocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accountsInvestigating and resolving invoice queries and discrepanciesLiaising with operational teams to ensure billing information is accurate and completeProducing customer statements and supporting account reviewsAssisting with month-end accounts receivable activitiesMaintaining data accuracy within the finance systemSupporting process improvements within the invoicing and account's receivable functionProviding general finance and administrative support as requiredAbout YouStudying towards or recently completed AATPrevious experience within accounts receivable, sales ledger, or credit control role.Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyGood organisational and time management skillsConfident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the businessProactive, eager to learn and keen to develop within a finance careerCompetent user of Microsoft Excel and finance systemContractTemporary contract, initially 3-6 monthsPotential for responsibilities to expand as business requirements developReporting into the Finance Team LeaderBased near Romsey, SouthamptonThis position would suit an ambitious finance professional looking to gain valuable experience within a fast-paced and evolving finance environment.You do need to be immediately available for this role.Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
