About The Role What are the main responsibilities of the job role? The role of the hygiene supervisor is intended to support the hygiene manager to ensure that the highest quality and food safety standards are embedded throughout the factory and that standards of hygiene and good housekeeping are appropriate to a quality food manufacturer. To champion hygiene across all aspects of our production plants and work closely with other Departments to promote a high level of awareness of the importance of the Hygiene function. The deliver the business needs for all scheduled deep cleaning tasks making sure that site and factory plants are kept clean and fit for purpose dealing with all daily GMP and be audit ready at all times. Lead and supervise a group of hygiene Operatives to ensure that site hygiene requirements on all scheduled cleaning tasks are carried out to the highest standard Lead and supervise a group of hygiene operatives to support the hygiene manager with all aspects and support functions associated within the hygiene team remit including pest control, laundry, water management, facilities and site services Report back weekly to Hygiene manager all scheduled deep cleans completed to allow full visibility for monthly KPI reporting and tracker Completion of hygiene cleaning records and verifications at all times after every task carried out with no exceptions Control the workflow in your given area, working towards achievement of waste productivity and hygiene targets and reporting via the KPI management metrics Lead the team in best practice regarding safety and GMP. Understand H&S legislation and ensure that the team understand the importance of safety in the workplace. Thorough accident investigations must be carried out and any correctives actions implemented Labour planning, ensure there is sufficient labour planned, including coordinating possible agency labour cover with the agency contacts and any additional days needed to cover the business needs. This must be completed within the agreed budgets Work with other members of the team focusing on internal reviews and audits to ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Perform quality checks on your team, reporting findings, and looking at ways to improve. Champion designated area to 6S, GMP standards, to be Audit ready at all times To support the hygiene manager with all aspects and support functions associated within the hygiene team remit including pest control, laundry, water management, facilities and site services. What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
