Ark Buckie provides support to 19 supported people to live as independently as possible in their own homes. Support ranges from 16 hours a week to 24-hour support. Due to the nature of support we provide, shift patterns are variable to meet individual needs. We support a wide range of ages from 18 to 70+. Support varies based on each person's needs and wishes, including personal care, medication management, finances, meal preparation, support to appointments, household tasks, or accessing the community.
Our supported people enjoy a variety of activities such as going out for lunch, bowling, trampolining, swimming, darts, football, snooker, spending time with their families, and holidays. An increasing number have mobility cars, which broadens opportunities for community activities. We aim to help people achieve their goals, whether exploring courses for employability or trying new activities. Our supported individuals love being part of the community and organize events like discos and BBQs to invite friends and family, fostering community spirit.
Please note that this role includes sleepover shifts, with start times at 7am and finish times at 10pm.
*A sleepover shift involves working during the day, sleeping over in the service between 11pm and 7am, and then working again the next day. Sleepover shifts are typically from 3pm to 3pm or 10am to 10am. These shifts are additional to your contracted hours and are paid at £96.00 per sleepover.
