About the Opportunity
Leader Recruitment Group is delighted to partner with a children's home provider to recruit a passionate and experienced Children's Home Manager for a brand-new 2-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) service in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small, dedicated team in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for young people with EBD.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards.
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of support staff to deliver outstanding care.
Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the emotional, social, and developmental needs of young people.
Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, social workers, and families.
Drive the home's registration process and maintain high standards to achieve an Outstanding Ofsted rating.
Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks effectively.
About You
Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting, ideally with EBD experience.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
A passion for improving outcomes for young people with complex needs.
Experience in start-up or newly established children's homes.
Ability to manage challenging behaviours with a trauma-informed approach.
