We are looking to appoint a dedicated and supportive SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 1) to join our committed team at Stretton Sugwas CofE Academy. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support the education, welfare and development of pupils with additional needs. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about inclusion and helping children to thrive.
The role:
·Supporting pupils’ learning, care and wellbeing under the direction of the class teacher
·Assisting with the preparation and use of learning resources
·Supporting group activities both in and out of the classroom
·Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils’ self‑esteem
·Helping children to access the curriculum and make good academic and social progress
The ideal candidate will:
·Have experience of working with children
·Demonstrate strong communication skills and a caring, supportive approach
·Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
·Be committed to inclusion and supporting children with a range of needs
·Be willing to undertake relevant training and development
·Be subject to an enhanced DBS check
