This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation where you’ll take ownership of both payroll and purchase ledger responsibilities, playing a key role in the smooth running of the finance function.
What You’ll Be Doing
Processing accurate and timely payroll, ensuring compliance with legislation, tax and pensions
Maintaining employee payroll records, including starters, leavers and contractual changes
Handling payroll queries and providing clear support to staff across the business
Processing supplier invoices: matching, coding and posting to the ledger
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Preparing and managing payment runs
Supporting the wider finance team with month-end processes and ad-hoc tasks
About You
We’d love to hear from candidates who have:
Previous experience in both payroll and purchase ledger, ideally within a finance team
Strong knowledge of payroll processes and legislation (RTI, tax, pensions)
High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data
Good IT skills, including Excel and experience with payroll/accounting systems
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
A proactive, problem-solving approach with excellent communication skills
