About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mental Health Practitioner to join our
North West Sussex CAMHS team
. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
As a qualified Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Family Therapist or Child Psychotherapist, you will provide high-quality assessment, care coordination and treatment as part of a dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive assessments, care plans and risk management strategies for children and young people.
* Undertake direct therapeutic work with children, young people and their families using a range of approaches.
* Act as Care Coordinator for complex cases, working confidently within legal and policy frameworks.
* Chair multi-agency network meetings and lead collaborative care planning with partner organisations.
* Provide supervision to junior colleagues and contribute to service development initiatives.
About you
* Professional qualification and registration (NMC, HCPC, UKCP, AFT, or equivalent).
* Extensive experience as a qualified mental health practitioner, ideally with children and young people.
* Experience in both individual and group therapeutic work.
* Skilled in supervising staff and students.
* Confident in multi-agency working and care coordination of complex cases.
