Position: Head Teacher
Location: Murrayburn Primary School
Salary: £81,579
Hours: 35 per week

Qualifications and Conditions
The Standard for Headship is now an essential requirement for this position. If the successful candidate does not meet this requirement, the post may be offered on a temporary basis for up to 30 months, provided the panel is satisfied that there is a likelihood of achieving the Into Headship qualification within this period. A permanent contract will only be offered upon successful completion of the course. If it becomes clear that this qualification will not be achieved within 30 months, the contract will be terminated with appropriate notice, and the temporary Head Teacher will revert to a DHT1 post available across the city.
Salary and Regulations
Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
Pre-employment Checks
This post involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Candidates who have spent three or more months outside the UK in the last five years will need to provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
