This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, providing staffing support during busy periods and staff absences.
Role Overview
As a Bank Registered Nurse at St Edmunds Hospital, your duties include:
* Delivering direct patient care according to care plans and protocols.
* Assessing patient needs, prioritizing care, and updating care plans.
* Monitoring vital signs, recognizing condition changes, and escalating appropriately.
* Administering medications safely in line with hospital policies and NMC Code.
* Maintaining accurate nursing documentation.
* Ensuring compliance with NMC standards, governance, and hospital policies.
* Reporting incidents, safeguarding concerns, and risks per hospital procedures.
Candidate Requirements
* Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
* Experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
* Understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in IT systems for patient records and care planning.
* Experience in relevant specialties (e.g., surgical, medical, outpatient, orthopaedics, critical care) is desirable.
