We have a phenomenal opportunity to start your career as an Account Manager where you will be responsible for serving our customers with the full suite of products from within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD), including instrumentation, software, service, and consumables. Customers served will include but are not limited to: Pharma QA/QC, Environmental, Industrial, food safety, Healthcare, Academic, Pharmaceutical R&D/drug development, and BioPharma R&D.
Previous sales experience of instrumentation is an advantage; however, we will consider applications from candidates with experience using relevant instrumentation in a laboratory environment who are considering a change in career direction.

Cambridge and East Anglia
Responsibilities:
1. Selling Agility
o Identify and prioritize new client opportunities and develop solution implementation and growth strategies.
o Lead and nurture account relationships to drive expansion and renewals across the full CMD portfolio (analytical instruments, consumables, services).
o Collaborate with customers, internal resources, and specialists to identify, document, and confirm the best technology solutions to meet customer needs.
o Provide quotations, negotiate contracts, and close orders after engaging all stakeholders in the buying process.
o Utilize data and metrics to develop and report on account development strategies and tactics.
2. Drive Growth
o Expand current account penetration and share of wallet, growing organically and with broader and deeper engagement with all primary products.
o Develop sales strategies to meet or exceed targets within the assigned territory, maintaining a pipeline of opportunities.
o Use sales tools to manage accounts and forecast accurately and timely.
o Stay informed about competitors and industry activity, and introduce new products and services as they become available.
3. Leadership
o Coordinate with internal technical resources to provide technical expertise.
o Attend and lead technical business meetings, trade shows, user meetings, and customer events.
o Exchange sales leads within and across Thermo Fisher Scientific divisions.
o Engage internal resources in a team-selling environment to solve customer challenges.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related sciences, or equivalent experience.
* Strong motivation to serve customers and achieve sales goals in a dynamic environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in English (written and oral).
* Full UK driving license.
* Proficiency in MS Office and related programs.
* Willingness to learn technical aspects of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s products.
* Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight stays.
