There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our [NAME] Division is looking to recruit a Senior Technical Manager to join the Division’s Technical team.
The Role
The Senior Technical Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Strategic Land Delivery Director and Strategic Land Planning Teams to ensure that strategic land projects are technically robust. This position will focus on delivering high-quality technical input into projects. Acting as a key liaison between the Strategic Land and Divisional Technical teams, ensuring consistency and best practice across all projects.
Principal accountabilities of the role include:
1. Support the Strategic Land planning teams and provide relevant reporting where required, including supporting, mentoring and managing
2. Ensure regular Design Team Meetings, at an early stage of development, occur within the relevant consultants
3. Provide technical expertise to ensure planning applications for strategic land projects are accurate, compliant, and commercially sound.
4. Review and advise on technical aspects of strategic land schemes, identifying risks and opportunities early in the process.
5. Facilitate technical input from divisions into strategic land projects and planning submissions.
6. Take new site information from Land and check it before committing to the drawing stage
7. Work closely with divisional commercial teams to ensure technical solutions are cost-effective and aligned with project budgets.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Experience
8. Experience of working as a Senior Technical Manager/Technical Manager within a large volume Company
9. Experience working at a senior level within the housebuilding industry in a technical/architectural function, running numerous projects simultaneously
10. A track record for effectively managing a high-performing team
Qualifications and Training
11. HNC/HND in a building related topic
12. CSCS card or equivalent
13. Current full UK driving licence

14. Strong communication, listening, presentation skills and excellent attention to detail
15. Methodical, conscientious, organised and works to deliver high standards
16. Ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner
17. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
18. Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
19. Ability to problem solve and delegate effectively
20. Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems
