Role Overview
The HR Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to‑day delivery of efficient, compliant, and scalable HR services across the organisation. This role ensures the smooth execution of core HR processes—including employee lifecycle management, HR systems administration, and policy implementation, while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. Working closely with HR leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders, the HR Operations Manager enhances employee experience, ensures regulatory compliance, and leverages data and technology to optimise HR performance and support business objectives.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of HR operations and administration
* Manage a team of UK‑based HR Admin / Advisors and an offshore team in India
* Allocate work, manage performance, and maintain service standards across both onshore and offshore teams
* Act as the key operational escalation point across HR admin activities
* Support and maintain delivery across HR lifecycle administration, Benefits and onboarding (including monthly onboarding event), Right to work, visas, relocation processes
* Ensure compliance with data protection, audit, and control requirements
* Support Workday implementation and transition (light touch as the focus is BAU), including cutover from current systems, supporting training and documentation updates, embedding new processes post‑launch
* Contribute to process improvement over time
* Assist with ad‑hoc projects when needed
Skills & Experience
* Experience of working in HR operations or advisory within any industry
* Managerial experience of onshore and offshore teams would be preferable
* Expertise in providing process improvement initiatives
* Track record of working in a fast paced and agile environment
* Ability to build internal and external relationships in order to influence accordingly
