We are recruiting for a temporary supporter care officer for a leading social welfare charity, looking for someone to cove workload for the next 6 to 8 weeks. You will be responsible for accurately capturing data across different channels and the processing of all donations received by post, phone, and BACS and supporting the team where needed.
Hybrid working ,1 to 2 days in their office .
The Role
To ensure all donations, enquiries, and supporter correspondence are promptly and accurately processed, recorded, and thanked in line with our policies and within agreed performance indicators.
Carry out the above processes from our Central Office in Ewell on regular basis (in-office work performed on a roto basis, requiring one office day approximately every 3 weeks, as well as 1-2 team days every 6 weeks).
Record and report on written and verbal supporter feedback so that learnings from complaints and positive comments can be implemented into future marketing campaigns.
Identify and implement opportunities to build supporter engagement through creative communications, maximising the effectiveness of our fundraising campaigns.
Maintain existing business-as-usual processes, identifying opportunities to maximise efficiencies where possible.
Work with the Legacy & In Memory Marketing Team to welcome and steward new supporter enquiries, as well as manage processes in relation to tribute funds, allocation of payments and administration of our will-writing service.
Work with the Community & Events Fundraising Team to ensure that income raised on Facebook is processed and thanked appropriately, and to ensure enquiries through the service desk are managed to completion.
Work with the Finance team to ensure delivery of various reconciliation processes.
The Candidate
Knowledge of principles of excellent customer service.
Experience of fundraising and/or working in the charity sector.
Knowledge of Gift Aid, fundraising regulation, and the Fundraising Preference Service.
Experience of working with a CRM database.
Experience of processing card payments.
Knowledge of Direct Debit processes.
Use of social media to interact with audiences.
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent written and database skills, with very strong attention to detail.
Excellent letter writing skills with an emphasis on diplomacy.
Proven communication skills and excellent telephone manner.
