This is a high-impact position responsible for establishing architectural standards, frameworks and governance for data solutions across a global organisation! This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on design across the Microsoft technology stack.
Responsibilities
* Leading the design, architecture and evolution of enterprise data platforms aligned to digital transformation objectives.
* Establishing architectural standards, governance frameworks and best practice principles.
* Designing cloud-based data ingestion, automation and analytics solutions across Microsoft Fabric, Azure and related technologies.
* Acting as senior technical advisor for data solutions, overseeing secure and compliant deployment.
* Collaborating with IT, Information Security and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory and policy alignment.
* Translating business requirements into technical specifications and solution architectures.
* Driving automation and optimisation initiatives to reduce manual processes and legacy system dependency.
* Supporting the integration of AI-enabled solutions and advanced analytics capabilities.
* Managing third-party vendor and delivery partner architectural engagement.
* Maintaining documentation and ensuring effective communication across stakeholders.
* Promoting best practice adoption, training and user enablement.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years' experience in solution development, systems engineering or technology-driven transformation initiatives. They will demonstrate proven experience building and deploying modern Microsoft-based data platforms, including Fabric, Azure, Power Platform and Power BI, alongside strong data modelling and governance knowledge. Relevant Microsoft certifications are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, capable of engaging senior stakeholders, managing complex projects and balancing strategic architecture with practical implementation. Experience within a regulated financial services environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
