Job Title: Secondary Cover Supervisor Location: Nottingham Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Are you confident managing a classroom and ready to take on a flexible role in education? GSL Education are seeking reliable and proactive Secondary Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Nottingham. As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain focused and complete their work using pre-set lesson plans. Responsibilities of a Secondary Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes during teacher absences across different subjects Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students stay on task Maintain a calm, positive, and productive classroom environment Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Support students in completing assigned work and learning activities Provide guidance and assistance where needed during lessons Report any behavioural issues or concerns to relevant staff Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students Requirements of a Secondary Cover Supervisor: Experience working with children or young people is desirable Confidence in leading and managing a classroom Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
