Job Description
The Site Scheduler will be based on one our project sites and be responsible for the following elements on site:
1. Be aware of all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) requirements relevant to their role, and implements and complies with them
2. Generates accurate Site System Time Schedules (S-STS) for the execution phase on site, based on an overall project time schedule
3. Builds a Site System Time Schedule as an integrated construction project
4. Controls schedule, based on contract scope requirements. This should Thr The establish optimal work sequences, in co-operation with all those involved in the scope
5. Integrates all activities for the M&E construction and commissioning functions
6. Manages schedules between internal partners, customers if applicable, consortium and external partners
7. Supports the Construction Manager by collection of on-site progress reports
8. Monitors and reports suppliers progress on site
9. Recommends improvements where the site incurs expected delays
10. Follows the monthly update of S-STS through construction execution, expedite Site issues in conjunction with supervisors and/or functional groups as required
11. Keeps an as-built schedule depicting a comparison of the original baseline versus the actual execution, identifying project specific reasons for contractually sensitive deviations
12. Updates, prepares and delivers S-STS weekly/monthly schedule progress reports as required by the project
13. Plans and implements internal and external reporting procedures
14. Ensures that the project team, partners and clients understand and adhere to their reporting requirements
15. Monitors, analyses and forecasts schedule performance compared to the established project plan using Critical Path Analysis Method (CPM) and Float Management. Focuses on early identification of risks and opportunities facilitates proactive actions that will optimise on-time performance of internal and subcontracted deliverables
16. Advises Site Manager / Site Coordinator and other functional Site Team members of status and recommended strategies to respond to identified risks and opportunities
17. Monitors and reports scheduled performance against performance to date and forecasted to completion, compared to baseline
18. Prepares schedule and progress reports including S-curves as per contract and internal requirements. Reports deviation against baseline in view of protecting project interest against potential claims
19. Represents project schedule matters with partners, suppliers and clients
20. Delivers Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projects
21. Keeps the Site Manager informed of all site related activities
Qualifications
Professional Qualifications
22. University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
23. Previous experience as a Project Scheduler in the heavy / industrial business, preferably in the field of Waste to Energy / Power Plant
24. Experience of using MS Project and Advanced Primavera 6 (mandatory)
25. Knowledge of planning processes and Construction methodology in projects with multiple integrated systems, covering, Civil, M&E and Commissioning
26. Knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements
27. Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
28. Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications with user knowledge of Sharepoint.
