We’re looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to join a leading client in the financial sector on a 6-month contract. This is a hands-on, 'doer' role focused on application management and governance within Azure. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering SMEs to produce high-level design documents (HLDD) and support all associated governance processes. This role is not responsible for delivering architecture solutions, but a strong understanding of architecture principles is essential.
Duration: 6 months
Location: Bournemouth (4 days on-site)
Rate: £740 p/day
Key Responsibilities
* Manage applications and information assets, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
* Implement and maintain application governance policies and frameworks.
* Collaborate with architects and SMEs to ensure alignment with architectural standards.
* Support the creation, review, and approval of High-Level Design Documents (HLDDs) for the Azure platform.
* Coordinate timelines and deliverables with stakeholders.
* Facilitate meetings and discussions related to design, governance, and application management.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in application management and information ownership.
* Strong understanding of application governance and ability to implement best practices.
* Familiarity with architecture principles and the process of HLDD creation.
* Solid working knowledge of Azure services and cloud concepts.
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with SMEs and stakeholders.
* Project coordination experience, with the ability to manage timelines and document delivery.
* Azure certifications (minimum Azure Fundamentals) are preferred.
* Banking/Financial Services experience is essential.
