Rutherford Briant Executive are exclusively recruiting for a Head of Finance in Stansted. The Head of Finance leads all financial management, planning and control activities, while ensuring close alignment between Finance, Operations and Supply Chain.
Reporting to the COO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team this role provides financial insight, challenge and leadership to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
As part of a small financial team, the Head of Finance will at times flex between strategic leadership and hands-on support, ensuring delivery of critical financial and operational processes in line with the needs of the business.
Strategic and Financial Leadership
1. Lead and develop the UK financial strategy, ensuring alignment to business objectives, risk management and growth priorities.
2. Provide strategic input at SLT level, contributing to decision-making and long-term planning.
3. Support the board with scenario modelling, investment analysis and financial forecasting.
4. Drive financial discipline, efficiency and performance across all business functions
Financial Management and Control
5. Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and control.
6. Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting, including consolidation across Group entities.
7. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting processes.
8. Lead preparation for and coordination of annual audits, ensuring compliance, transparency, and timely resolution of any findings.
Cash and Risk Management
9. Lead cashflow management across the Group, ensuring clear visibility of liquidity and forward cash needs.
10. Manage banking relationships, funding arrangements, and invoice discounting facilities.
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified with demonstrable post qualification experience at a senior level. Ideally you will also have dealt with M&A or external investment.
