General Manager – Manufacturing

We are recruiting for an experienced General Manager to lead a large-scale manufacturing operation with full responsibility for operational performance, profitability, customer delivery, and strategic growth.
This is a high-profile leadership role within a well-established manufacturing business, overseeing multiple sites and a sizeable workforce. The successful candidate will have full P&L accountability and play a key role in driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and long-term business performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, and operational functions
* Deliver business growth, profitability, and operational performance targets
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost
* Develop and execute site strategy aligned to wider business objectives
* Build, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team
* Ensure best-in-class health & safety, quality, and compliance standards
* Strengthen customer relationships and support commercial growth opportunities
* Lead change, transformation, and business improvement programmes
About You
* Proven experience as a General Manager, Site Director, Operations Director, Manufacturing Director, or similar senior leadership position
* Strong commercial and financial acumen with full P&L responsibility
* Demonstrable success leading large manufacturing operations
* Track record of delivering operational improvements, cost reductions, and business growth
* Strong leadership style with the ability to engage teams and drive performance
* Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, engineering, industrial, or process-driven environments
