A vibrant, high-performing secondary school in Gloucester is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join its Performing Arts Faculty from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position, perfect for a dynamic teacher who combines technical skill, creativity, and a passion for music education.
The Role
You will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in Music across KS3–KS5, inspiring students to explore performance, composition, and musical analysis. The successful candidate will teach both classical and contemporary music, encourage ensemble participation, and prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations. You will also direct musical performances, school concerts, and community showcases, and have the opportunity to integrate music technology, digital production, and live performance into your teaching.
The department is well known for its strong extracurricular offer, with thriving choirs, orchestras, and bands, as well as collaborations with local arts organisations. You will play a central role in shaping the school’s musical life and contributing to its growing reputation for excellence in the performing arts.
