About the Team:
We are a team of practitioners passionate about delivering high‑quality practice and learning support to all Children and Families Practitioners, as well as our Multi‑Agency partners. The Practice and Learning Hub focus on building strong relationships with practitioners and teams to enhance and connect practice across the service.
Our work is grounded in Warwickshire's Relational Practice Framework and its four key elements:

We lead on the delivery of the
Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW) Programme
and
Social Work Apprenticeships
.
We provide a wide range of accessible practice and learning opportunities for practitioners and Multi‑Agency partners on key areas of practice, including Neglect, Child Sexual Abuse, Domestic Abuse, Child Protection and Safeguarding.
Our team supports services by providing access to resources and bitesize learning, facilitating group supervision and learning sets, co‑ordinating webinars and delivering formal training
In addition, we deliver
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Training
to Education Providers.

About the Role:
We are recruiting for a
Consultant Social Worker
within our
Practice and Learning Hub
, working county‑wide on a
two‑year fixed‑term contract
.
We are looking for:
* An experienced Social Worker with excellent communication skills and a strong, broad understanding of Children and Families social work practice.
* Someone with substantial frontline practice experience, combined with experience in supporting others through delivering training, mentoring, or learning and development opportunities.
* Applicants who hold a Practice Education qualification—this is highly desirable.
* A creative, professional, flexible, and adaptable individual who can think on their feet and respond confidently to changing situations.
* Someone able to create high‑quality training content, with strong presentation and IT skills.
The post is funded for 2 years and fixed term.

Key Requirements:
The team delivers practice and learning opportunities across Warwickshire for the Children and Families workforce and our multi‑agency partners. This role requires the ability to travel independently to venues across the County, set up IT equipment, and deliver training sessions confidently.
Although our base is at Shire Hall in Warwick, the team regularly spends time within Children and Family Teams across the County. This includes supporting Newly Qualified Social Workers through their Assessed and Supported Year in Practice (ASYE), building relationships with practitioners, and delivering Learning Sets and wider practice‑based learning opportunities.
Applicants for the role will need a
professional Social Work qualification, Practice Educator level 1 & level 2
and
Social Work England Registration
