Summary
To coordinate the efficient and compliant export of perishable goods across international markets, ensuring accurate documentation, excellent customer service, and smooth end to end order fulfilment.
The Role
The Order & Export Administrator plays a key role in managing the full export process for perishable goods shipped internationally on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Working closely with customers, freight forwarders, customs authorities, veterinary authorities, and internal departments, you will ensure all export documentation is completed accurately and shipments are delivered efficiently and compliantly.
Manage the full end to end process of shipping perishable goods internationally, from booking freight forwarders to ensuring completion of all export shipping documentation in line with company, customer and government requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Processing export documentation for product entry to the various countries outlined below where attention to detail is paramount in the shipping process and liaising with customers, customs and veterinary authorities as required. (USA, China, Canada, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, South Africa, Philippines.)
* Assist in the management of cold store stock levels.
* Measuring and reporting of KPIs to site and group management.
* Ensure that all sales are administered in an efficient manner and that all contracts are completed.
* Explore, develop and implement best practices, identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous performance improvement across all areas of responsibility.
* Working closely and effectively with operations, supply chain management and planning.
* Constantly liaising with customers, ensuring they are satisfied with all aspects of the export shipping procedure, Vessel arrival times, documentation etc.
* An interest in continuous improvement, with the confidence to suggest new ideas.
* Commitment to personal growth and contributing to a successful, unified team.
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in supply chain, logistics, or shipping administration.
* Background working in a manufacturing or fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of export/import processes, customs regulations, and tariffs.
* Experience with stock control, inventory management, and warehouse processes.
* Familiarity with order processing, invoicing, and dispatch documentation.
* Good understanding of health & safety standards within a warehouse or production setting.
* Strong IT skills, including MS Office.
