Job Description
3. Oversee the operations of the Accounting & Finance Department, including the design of an organisational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
4. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
5. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
6. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
7. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
8. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
9. Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
10. Support month-end and year-end close process
11. Provide information on the state of finances to senior stakeholders
12. Familiarity with Finance Systems ideally Xero
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Manager should have:
13. Experience within finance as an Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager or similar
14. Proven experience with Finance
15. In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
16. Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management.
17. Exposure to month-end and dealing with ledgers, accounts, clients
18. Proficiency in accounting software.
19. Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
20. Excellent organisational skills.
21. Confident communicating to stakeholders and people outside of the business to develop the finance team
22. Familiarity with Finance Systems ideally Xero
