This role will focus on setting and operating Heidenhain CNC Machining Centres, working on high-precision components across a range of materials such as Inconel, Aluminium Bronze, Cast Iron, Duplex, and Stainless Steel. Key Responsibilities Set and operate mill machines. Perform minor program edits in Mazatrol and ISO G-Code. Set up tooling efficiently and accurately. Read and interpret engineering drawings confidently. Verify components using a variety of measuring equipment. Safely operate cranes, slings, and lifting equipment (training provided). Drive process improvements and support Continuous Improvement (CI) culture. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace (5S principles). Ensure all work meets quality standards and production targets. Support cross-training and help train others when required. Adhere to Health & Safety procedures at all times. Essential Skills & Experience Experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment. Significant CNC machining experience (milling and turning preferred). Experience setting and operating Heidenhain CNC machines. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and CNC programs (G-Code & Mazatrol). Strong understanding of turning and milling techniques. Proven problem-solving and communication skills. Flexible, proactive approach with a strong work ethic. Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office). Desirable Apprentice-trained in an engineering discipline. Offline programming experience (Edgecam, Mastercam, or Mazatrol). Experience working in a Continuous Improvement/Lean environment. Awareness of Safety and 5S principles. Additional Information Contract length - 6-12 months Candidates must be eligible for baseline security clearance.
