Join Thames Water as a Network Service Technician
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Thames Water as a Network Service Technician. This customer-facing role involves resolving customer network challenges to ensure minimal disruption to supply. No experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training; just bring your desire to learn and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
1. Respond to and resolve customer queries at their homes or workplaces.
2. Collaborate with contractors on planned and unplanned work, investigating water network issues like pressure problems, leakage, and metering queries.
3. Assist in controlling burst mains, including isolation for repairs and maintenance.
4. Manage valve operations, water sampling, and planning.
5. Work within a team covering core and standby hours, including standby rota.
6. Drive between jobs, holding a full UK driving license.
Location and Working Pattern
Base location: Stroud Green - Croydon, CR0 8YY, covering South London and wider Thames Water area.
Hours: 38 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 weekends on standby with overtime pay.
Minimum Requirements
* Full clean UK driving license.
Ideal Candidate
* Excellent customer service experience.
* Positive, can-do attitude and initiative.
* Strong time management and solution-focused mindset.
* Basic knowledge of plumbing or water mains is advantageous but not essential.
