Job Title: Construction Manager – Gas Infrastructure Projects
Location: South Wales
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a critical national gas infrastructure project, with particular focus on AGI/PRS upgrades. This is a high-profile, time-sensitive role involving intensive coordination of site operations, contractors, and technical teams to meet strict programme deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities during an 18-week programme, including a critical 10-week gas-off period.
Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with CDM Regulations, National Gas specifications, and IGE/TD/13.
Act as the focal point for contractor supervision, customer liaison, and technical support to the Project Manager.
Oversee planning, coordination, testing and commissioning of civil and mechanical works.
Work closely with planning teams during the preparation phase (from 7th May) to finalise schedules and resource allocations.
Essential Experience:
10–15 years experience on major gas infrastructure projects, ideally with AGI/PRS upgrade experience.
Strong working knowledge of CDM, National Gas procedures/specifications, especially civil, mechanical, testing, and commissioning scopes.
Familiarity with IGE/TD/13.
Proven track record of delivering within tight schedules and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams on live gas sites.
Ability to operate independently and make decisions under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Chartered Engineer or equivalent engineering qualification.
Project Management experience or certification (e.g. APM, PMP, Prince2).
