Contracts Manager
Location: Workington office, covering sites around West Cumbria, Carlisle and surrounding areas – typically working Monday to Friday, 39 hours.
As a Contracts Manager for Novus, you will see the impact and improvements your role delivers to customers and team every day. This varied and challenging role offers you the opportunity to work with and manage a skilled and professional team in a secure environment with long‑term contracts, while growing and learning. You will successfully lead a small team of Site Managers/Contract Liaison Officers delivering voids and retrofit refurbishment works in social housing, ensuring contracts are completed on programme, with zero defects, within budget and with no risk to health & safety.

Responsibilities
* Manage the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including sub‑contractors) as determined by individual contracts.
* Manage site personnel, work activities and resources to meet the requirements of individual contracts.
* Control individual contract progress, focusing on completion within timeframes and budget.
* Ensure all necessary contract documentation and reports are accurate and produced on time.
* Attend monthly client meetings to review performance and future planning of works.
* Work under the Operations Manager to support preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids and tenders, and development of the procurement programme.
* Assist in the presentation of the contract brief to the client.
Qualifications
* Experience as a Contracts Manager in voids or planned works contracts, particularly in a social housing environment.
* Knowledge of retrofit and solar panel installation within social housing.
* Full UK driving licence (must be held to travel to sites daily).
* DBS check required.
* SMSTS and 3‑day First Aid preferred; support to renew if expired.
