Design Technician - Antrim Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently recruiting for a Design Technician to join our design teams across multiple projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in bringing concepts to life by producing precise, detailed construction drawings for bespoke joinery, furniture, and architectural features used in high-end building and fit-out projects. Main duties will include: Assist in the assessment of initial information received from the Clients designers and architects. Liaise with Factory, Project Manager and Clients designers and architects, sub-contractors and suppliers. Carry-out site surveys. Produce clear, concise, accurate drawings in accordance to deadline/programme as required and to QA standards. Collaborate with schedulers to discuss drawings and assist production with any queries. Collaborate with the Drawing Controller regarding the issue and distribution of drawings. The successful candidate will possess the following: Experienced in technical detailing with proven 2D drawing ability. Proficient in AutoCAD. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Ability to work under pressure and deal with heavy work loads. Excellent organisation skills. Ability to think in 3 dimensions. Ability to think rationally and resolve design problems. An aptitude to learn quickly.
