Our client is a growing, UK & International, market-leading manufacturer requiring a Buyer to join the Procurement function. Ideally, you will have gained experienced within fast-paced manufacturing operations, with a demonstrated track record of managing the end to end procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and long-term source of supply.
Evaluate and select new suppliers in line with business needs.
Identify cost saving opportunities and quality improvements.
Manage Tender and RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes including creating necessary supporting documentation.
Negotiate and agree Framework Agreements; Rebate Agreements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with Key Suppliers and evaluate existing contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
Resolve Supplier or product issues to meet price, delivery, and quality requirements.
Skills & Experience:
End to end Procurement experience ideally gained within manufacturing operations
MCIPS or working towards desirable
A collaborative approach to team working
Excellent Communication Skills
Negotiation and Influencing Skills
Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Driving Licence
