This is a high‑impact leadership role for an experienced sales leader who thrives on building strong commercial partnerships, leading through others, and driving sustainable growth in a regulated environment.
As Head of Field Sales, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and delivering our field sales distribution strategy across MotoNovo. Operating as a senior member of the Sales Distribution Leadership Team, you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands‑on leadership; ensuring strong performance today while building the foundations for long‑term success.
What will your day look like?
You’ll take full ownership of our field sales performance for the South of the UK, leading through managers to deliver ambitious growth targets while embedding a strong, values‑led risk culture.
Key areas of focus include:
* Distribution strategy & growth – defining and executing account strategies aligned to market dynamics, customer needs and commercial objectives.
* Leadership at scale – leading a high‑performing, geographically dispersed field sales team, setting clear expectations and driving consistent standards.
* Revenue & performance – driving revenue growth through effective planning, forecasting and execution, using data and insight to inform decisions.
* Key relationships – building trusted, value‑led partnerships with major accounts, suppliers and industry bodies, representing our proposition with credibility.
* Capability & enablement – strengthening sales capability through coaching, training and the effective use of tools and technology.
* Risk & governance – embedding robust risk management, credit stewardship and regulatory compliance across all field activity.
What do we expect from you?
This role requires a proven senior leader - not a step‑up. You’ll bring:
* Significant experience defining and delivering sales or distribution strategy within a complex, regulated environment.
* A strong track record of leading leaders and developing high‑performing field‑based sales teams.
* Expertise in key account management, complex negotiations and value‑led relationship management.
* Commercial acumen, with confidence managing performance, forecasting and using insight to drive outcomes.
* A deep understanding of risk, governance and regulatory expectations, with the judgement to balance growth and control.
* The credibility to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally, including across underwriting, pricing and finance.
* Strong market and product knowledge, ideally within motor or financial services, supported by active industry engagement.
