Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
Responsibilities
* Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
* Maintain employee records, including personal information, tax details, and payment history.
* Manage accounts payable functions related to payroll, including deductions and benefits administration.
* Reconcile payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
* Prepare reports related to payroll metrics, such as hours worked, overtime, and deductions.
* Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data management.
* Assist in the implementation of payroll software updates or changes as necessary.
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns promptly.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role within finance or accounting.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and payroll regulations.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies effectively.
