Overview
Due to a structure review we are recruiting to the following 1.0 post. The successful candidate will join the Learning Disabilities Team within Hounslow Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
Responsibilities
* Use specialist and highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention skills with young people and their families/carers presenting with mental health difficulties.
* Provide line management and supervision of any trainee or assistant psychologists within the team.
* Support further service development when appropriate.
* Engage in reflective practice, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development.
Team and Working Environment
You will be based in the Learning Disabilities Team (LDT) in Hounslow CAMHS. The LDT sits alongside Tier 3 neurodevelopmental, specialist adolescent and child/family teams, and works closely with Community CAMHS services. The LDT is multi-disciplinary and includes psychiatry and nursing in addition to psychology. You will be part of a team with a special interest and expertise in working with young people with a learning disability.

Who we're looking for
* A clinical psychologist with some experience of working with children with learning disabilities.
* Newly qualified psychologists may apply, with a passion for delivering a high-quality psychology service to young people with learning disabilities.
* Willing to receive regular clinical supervision.

Psychology is a well-established profession in CAMHS services with a large group of staff delivering innovative and highly regarded clinical services in various contexts. Regular psychology meetings, CPD opportunities, and whole-service trainings are available. There are opportunities to develop further in role, including through quality improvement projects or taking a lead in a particular area of interest.
