Role Overview
As a Reformer & mat Pilates Instructor, you will deliver high-quality group mat and Reformer Pilates sessions. You'll create safe, effective, and engaging classes for members of varying fitness levels, focusing on technique, progression, and an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver dynamic and effective Reformer Pilates classes, ensuring correct form and technique
* Provide personalised guidance and modifications to suit individual needs
* Maintain a motivating, friendly, and professional environment in every session
* Support member retention by building rapport and encouraging consistent attendance
* Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and the studio is clean, tidy, and welcoming
* Assist with studio promotions, open days, social media and community engagement when required
* Provide clear and motivating instructions, adjusting exercises to meet the needs of clients
* Demonstrate proper techniques to ensure clients are performing exercises safely and effectively
* Foster a positive, encouraging environment that motivates clients to achieve their fitness goals
* Stay updated on current trends in yoga and wellness, continuously enhancing personal knowledge and teaching methods
Requirements
* Certified Reformer and mat Pilates Instructor
* Minimum 6 months' experience teaching Reformer Pilates in a group or 1:1 setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Passion for helping others achieve their health and fitness goals.
* Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering high standards.
* Social media savvy
* Manual handling certification
* First Aid certification
* Own DBS
Desirable
* Experience with pre-/postnatal clients or injury rehab.
* Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, or weekends.
* Passion for health & fitness
* Experience in sports coaching or related fields is advantageous, providing insights into physical fitness and motivation techniques.
* Nutrition experience
