Unqualified Teacher – Farnborough
Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic and confident Unqualified Teachers to support secondary schools across Farnborough. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy leading groups, feel comfortable guiding a classroom, and want valuable paid experience in education before moving into teaching, mentoring, or further study.
You’ll step into the classroom in place of the teacher, deliver the pre‑planned work, and keep students engaged and on task. Each day brings variety, making this role perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, tutors, youth‑work professionals, coaches, or anyone who thrives in a fast‑paced school environment.

The Role:
1. Deliver and supervise lessons using pre‑set materials
2. Lead classes independently across KS3 & KS4
3. Maintain behaviour expectations and classroom routines
4. Support students with questions and general learning tasks
5. Provide cover at short notice or through pre‑booked arrangements
6. Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
7. Help create a calm, positive, and productive environment
Ideal Candidate:
8. Experience working with young people (youth work, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, etc.)
9. Confident leading groups and managing behaviour
10. Strong communication and organisation skills
11. Adaptable and comfortable covering a variety of subjects
12. Positive, proactive, and reliable
13. Graduates or aspiring teachers highly encouraged
Contract Details:
14. Position: Unqualified Teacher
15. Location: Farnborough
16. Start: ASAP
17. Working Pattern: Full‑time, part‑time, or day‑to‑day
18. Pay Rate: Up to £130 per day
19. Year Groups: KS3-KS4
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
20. Experience with children or young people essential
21. Classroom or behaviour‑support experience beneficial
22. Safeguarding training available
Eligibility:
23. Right to work in the UK
24. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
25. Two references required
