We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Stock Controller at one of our well-established clients in Blackburn.
Please note this is a permanent placement following a 1-week paid trial!
Previous experience in stock control is a must for this role!
Shift times: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday, rotating weekly.
Pay rate: £13.26 per hour plus shift allowance (92p per hour).
Role Will Involve But Won't Be Limited To
* Supporting the Management team to meet company and customer deadlines.
* Booking in and controlling the deliveries and collections of all stock on site.
* Maintaining stock accuracy by ensuring all stock being delivered and collected has the relevant paperwork, is accurately booked onto the system, and labeled as required.
* Maintaining the Warehouse Management System to ensure high service levels and efficient stock flow.
* Ensuring physical stock accuracy within the warehouse.
* Monitoring quality control checks to ensure stock integrity.
* Assisting with stock movement between sites and ensuring stock availability.
* Developing, controlling, and managing stock management functions on site.
* Preparing, conducting, and resolving variance investigations of stock counts and uplifts, including validation and liaising with external auditors.
* Dealing with customer issues related to stockholding, documentation, and suppliers.
* Advising management on operational problems and seeking cost-effective solutions.
* Compiling and circulating weekly and periodic reports on results and audits.
* Meeting and exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Managing stock rotation to minimize product damage and loss.
* Providing technical support to operations.
* Supporting site facilities and health & safety initiatives.
* Monitoring supplies and reordering as necessary.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and experienced in a distribution warehouse environment. They should have good knowledge of warehouse management systems, be PC literate (Word, Excel, Access), and able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Willingness to support other departments and a full understanding of PI counting are also required.
