Intervention Teacher

A well-run primary school in Haringey is looking for a trained primary teacher to provide additional teaching and intervention work within Year 4.
The Role
In this role, you will be part of the Year 4 team to expand the 2-form-entry year into a year group with 3 teachers. The year group has a higher than average number of pupils with additional learning needs (EAL / SEN / behaviour), and the school aims to create smaller teaching classes to provide more individual attention.
You will not hold full class responsibility. In the mornings, you will teach the full core curriculum to a group of 14 children (mixed ability) drawn from the other 2 classes. The afternoons will involve some intervention or taking the other Year 4 classes to facilitate intervention.
You will share planning with other teachers (approximately 1/3 of planning) and will have less marking and report writing responsibilities.
You will work with experienced and supportive teachers to plan and prepare appropriate sessions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced primary teacher seeking a change from full class teaching.
Requirements
* Have QTS and completed induction/ECT
* Experience teaching in KS2
* Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
* Calm and adaptable approach
