Overview
We are looking for a passionate, innovative and enthusiastic Perinatal Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to undertake a new project improving pelvic health during the child bearing continuum. You will work closely with the Maternity team, including the Pelvic Health Specialist Midwife, and the Women's Health Physiotherapy team.
The purpose of this role is to lead and support the local implementation of a perinatal pelvic health service (PPHS) designed in collaboration with SHIP Local Maternity and Neonatal system (LMNS) and NHS England. A minimum of 0.1 wte hours per week will be dedicated to the PPHS project, with a specific focus on the education and training programme. This aligns with the NHS Long Term plan commitment to improve access to postnatal physiotherapy services for women. The local ambition is that ALL women are to have education and advice around pelvic health and access to Physiotherapy services.
If experience is limited, a band 6 post will be offered with the intention for you to undergo a period of intensive development and, once able to independently offer all necessary services, a band 7 role will be offered. If experience is already sufficient, a band 7 role will be offered from the outset.
