Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Timber Frame Installer to join Vistry Works, the manufacturing arm of Vistry Group. Starting from September 2026, you will learn the trade of erecting pre‑manufactured timber frame homes on construction sites. This is the second cohort of this programme following our successful trailblazer launch in 2025.
You’ll be immersed in the theoretical and practical applications of the role, gaining understanding and experience in: health, safety and environmental principles; quality assurance processes; build programme and scheduling; project specifications; technical design knowledge; and customer service elements related to timber frame operations within the wider business. Alongside hands‑on experience, you will work towards a Level 2 Construction Assembly Installation Operative Apprenticeship in partnership with a registered training provider.

Key Responsibilities
• Help implement and control all site‑based activities in line with project requirements and company procedures
• Maintain excellent health and safety standards on construction projects
• Assist in planning and executing necessary works within required timeframes
• Ensure quality of works matches technical specifications and building regulations
• Be aware of budgetary constraints, cost control and commercial implications
• Monitor and feedback on issues arising from clients or Vistry Works functions and services
• Provide and record quality assurance feedback throughout projects
• Minimise waste and offer value engineering suggestions where possible
• Reduce the environmental impact of construction projects wherever possible
