\nRole Overview
\nOur client a renown Law Firm based in Surrey is seeking a proactive and experienced Fee Earning Support Assistant to join their Commercial Property team. This role provides essential support to the Head of Department, Senior Solicitor, Solicitor, and Newly Qualified Solicitor in delivering high-quality legal services to our commercial property clients. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of commercial property transactions and matters.

\nKey Responsibilities:
\n
\nAdministrative Support
\n\n
\n\t
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Commercial Property team
\n\t
* Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
\n\t
* Handle telephone calls and correspondence professionally
\n\t
* Maintain accurate filing systems, both electronic and physical
\n\t
* Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports
\n\t
* Audio typing and document production to a high standard
\n
\n\n
Client Liaison
\n\n
\n\t
* Act as first point of contact for clients, providing excellent customer service
\n\t
* Liaise with clients, other solicitors, estate agents, surveyors, and third parties
\n\t
* Coordinate communication between all parties involved in transactions
\n\t
* Update clients on case progress and handle routine enquiries
\n\t
* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions
\n
\n\n
Legal Support
\n\n
\n\t
* Assisting Solicitors with commercial property transactions including acquisitions, disposals, and leases
\n\t
* Conduct property searches including local authority, environmental, and Land Registry searches
\n\t
* Prepare completion statements and handle post-completion formalities
\n\t
* Assisting with lease renewals, assignments, and licensing matters
\n\t
* Support with property development and investment transactions
\n\t
* Maintain accurate case progression records and checklists
\n
\n\n
Experience & Qualifications
\n\n
\n\t
* Previous experience in a legal secretarial or legal assistant environment
\n\t
* Previous commercial property experience
\n\t
* Strong typing and audio typing skills (minimum 60 wpm)
\n\t
* Excellent IT skills including MS Office Suite and case management systems
\n\t
* Understanding of commercial property law and procedures preferred
\n\t
* Experience with property searches and Land Registry procedures
\n
