Role: Learning and Support Administrator Location: Dunstable This will be at a satellite school initially for 9 months whilst a new purpose built school is being built in Pulloxhill. All staff will then move to the new school in Pulloxhill. Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00 – 16.00 (14.45 finish on Friday) Contract: Permanent (temp to permanent) Start date: November 24th 2025 Salary: £19,399 – £20,447 About the School This is a special school for children aged 5–11 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The new school will have 25 children building 50 within a year. About the role As a Learning and Support Assistant (LASA), you’ll play a vital role in our classrooms, supporting both teachers and pupils. Every day will bring new challenges and rewards as you help children to develop their confidence, social skills, and love of learning. Your role could include: * Working alongside the teacher to support whole-class learning. * Supporting individual pupils with behaviour management and social development (training provided). * Bringing your own strengths and interests into the classroom – whether that’s a subject passion, creative skills, or something else that enriches the learning experience. * Being part of a class team where your ideas and input are highly valued. This role is all about positivity, patience, and flexibility. A sense of humour is essential, as is the ability to stay calm when faced with challenging behaviour.
