Role: SEMH English Specialist and Lead Teacher
Salary: up to £41,137 (depending on experience and qualifications) plus £3,000 subject lead allowance
Location: Doncaster, DN5
Contract: permanent
Hours: full time (core hours 8:30am to 4:40pm, Monday to Friday)

We are excited to announce that Esland will be opening a new SEN school in Doncaster in September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing, specialist provision supporting vulnerable young people aged 8 to 18 years who have SEND and SEMH needs.

Essential:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
2. A minimum of 2 years post graduation experience
3. Strong understanding of SEND and SEMH
4. Knowledge of assessment frameworks and progress tracking
5. Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
6. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Desirable:
7. Subject/Department leader experience (or acting leadership experience)
8. Experience in teaching across alternative subjects (and a willingness to support other departments as the team grows)
