Travel & Guest Services Manager – Events Industry (12‑month Fixed Term Contract, Home / Milton Keynes) Salary: £40,000‑46,000 plus Benefits
Our client, a leading global provider of corporate events, is looking for a Travel & Guest Services Manager to own the delivery of delegate registration services and flights through Guest Management Services and Group Aviation Management teams. The role involves ensuring high‑standard delivery, focusing on resourcing and key account management, while developing and supporting the teams through management, leadership, training, coaching, and collaboration with project planning and delivery teams.
What you'll be doing:
* Manage and monitor Guest Management Services and Group Aviation Management workload and resource, providing solutions through accurate planning and productivity.
* Ensure quality of output from GMS & GAM associates, in line with agreed internal SLAs.
* Ensure delegate registration is provided efficiently, productively and proactively.
* Conform with company procedures in all aspects of GMS & GAM.
* Liaise with the planning and delivery teams, Business Development Directors, Clients and other BI WORLDWIDE associates in a professional and timely manner.
* Support the account strategy of projects.
* Maximise time efficiency and profitability.
* Attend and actively participate in meetings when required.
* Develop and implement training/coaching plans with team members as needed.
What we're looking for:
* Substantial experience in a similar role with a strong background in delegate management, project resourcing, and people development.
* Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service within a fast‑paced and pressurised environment.
* Database management experience (Stova, Cvent, Crowd Comms or similar delegate management platforms), including producing reports.
* Experience creating registration‑system websites is advantageous but not essential.
* App management experience (SpotMe or similar platforms) is advantageous but not essential.
* Understanding of Amadeus Selling Platform and knowledge of group aviation processes is advantageous but not essential.
* Proven ability to manage and interrogate large volumes of complex data.
* Demonstrated client‑management skills.
* Formal line‑management experience.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Intermediary or advanced Excel skills.
* Experience working to tight timescales in a fast‑paced environment, managing and prioritising a busy and demanding workload.
