We are seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our partnered esteemed Secondary School in Bury St Edmunds. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to support students' learning in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring that classes continue smoothly and students remain motivated.
This school is dedicated to providing an inclusive, supportive, and high-quality education to students. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be key in helping students stay on track with their lessons, providing guidance, and maintaining a positive learning environment throughout the school day.
Key Requirements:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support students effectively.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt to varying classroom environments.
* A proactive approach to managing classroom activities and ensuring that students stay focused on their tasks.
* Previous experience working with students or in an educational setting is an advantage, but not essential.
* Enthusiasm, patience, and a willingness to contribute positively to school life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise students during lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring that they remain on task and engaged.
* Assist in maintaining classroom discipline and following the school's behaviour management procedures.
* Provide students with any instructions or additional support to help them complete their work effectively.
* Encourage student participation and ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
* Help set up classrooms and assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
