Business Partnering Assistant ManagerWe are searching for an experienced Business Partnering Assistant Manager

Overall job purpose:

To support team managers/leadership to successfully deliver business partnering project/engagements, with a focus on coaching and mentoring junior members of the team through their personal progression. To support the development of the Business Patnering service offering and team. To collaborate and co-ordinate with other service lines to exemplify and deliver RSM’s Total Consulting vision, always adding value and maintaining the highest standards of communication and service.

Responsibilities:

1. Acting as day-to-day point of contact for internal (other service lines) and external customers
2. Delivery of secondment projects requiring travel and/or remote working
3. Feeding back into the BP team on client requirements and being first point of contact to develop leads and opportunities for other services within the firm
4. Planning assignments in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures and confirming arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements
5. Coaching and mentoring junior staff and assisting with creating & delivering their professional development plans
6. Developing and maintaining an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses, and fulfilling relevant professional body CPD requirements, including maintaining an awareness of the firm’s specialist services and publications
7. Carrying out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the role and its grading.

What we are looking for:

8. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
9. An understanding of UK financial reporting requirements
10. An understanding of management accounting and internal compliance
11. Experience of project delivery and good engagement co-ordination
12. Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness and to add value
13. Strong oral and written communication skills
14. Experience in team leadership or people management
15. Excellent organisational and time management skills
16. Strong IT skills including Microsoft 365
17. Experience of a range of Finance Software (desirable)
18. Industry experience (desirable)
