Due to a recent change in the staffing structure, our client secondary school in Wigan are looking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor to join their team of support staff. The school require a dedicated member of staff to work closely with the schools Pastoral team, supporting students who struggle to engage within class. The current Behaviour Mentor who is working closely with the schools pastoral team is due to finish their post in April, leaving the school with an immediate need for an experienced Behaviour Mentor. The school are ideally looking to bring in a replacement prior to this to allow for an extended handover period, and to make the transition as smooth as possible. Applicant requirements; Must have worked within secondary education previously Be confident supporting pupils aged (11-16) within their studies across all subject areas Hold previous experience supporting pupils with moderate learning difficulties Be able to build positive working relationships with pupils who display challenging behaviour and help them engage within lessons.
