Job Description
Prosperity Law LLP is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing and vibrant Manchester Office as a Legal Assistant. Working within the Clinical Negligence team to support the fee earners in the team with a variety of Clinical Negligence related work.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting fee-earners in the management of their caseload of Clinical Negligence matters by undertaking various tasks as supervised by the fee-earners.
* Drafting documents and correspondence under supervision
* Dealing with new enquiries
* Updating and meeting with clients
* Undertaking research to support fee earners
* Obtaining medical records
* Liaising with the courts
* Liaising with a wide variety of 3 rd parties in the course of progressing matters
* Supporting fee earners with various administrative tasks and file/case management
* Keeping up-to-date with key changes in the relevant law and procedure and ensuring that clients are informed of any changes that may affect them
Requirements
* Strong technical IT skills
* At least 2 years of experience in an assistant role in a Clinical Negligence team within a law firm.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
* Commercially aware with a strong focus on client service.
