Purchasing Assistant Opportunity!
Location - North Lincolnshire
We are currently representing a Purchasing Assistant role on behalf of our client who are a UK manufacturing business who are leading their industry and are looking to grow their supply chain team as part of continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Procurement and Contracts teams with sourcing activities, raising orders, managing inventory, and maintaining effective supplier relationships.
* Work closely with suppliers to forecast requirements and ensure inventory is planned and delivered in a timely manner.
* Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and service levels.
* Create and process purchase orders accurately, ensuring all information is correctly recorded and internal systems are kept up to date.
* Liaise with suppliers and the warehouse team to confirm delivery schedules, resolve issues, and maintain smooth supply flow.
* Contribute to the preparation of procurement reports, maintain order books, and monitor stock levels.
* Track shipments and follow up to ensure goods are delivered on time.
* Support the preparation of cost analyses and other procurement-related reporting.
Candidate Expectations
* Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is beneficial but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
* Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Clear and effective communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
