Spire Norwich Hospital are looking for an exceptional and forward‑thinking Radiology Manager to lead our Imaging Department and drive the delivery of outstanding diagnostic services for our patients and consultants. Duties and responsibilities.
1. Lead, inspire and champion a high‑performing radiology team
2. Report directly to the Director of Clinical Services
3. Oversee day‑to‑day service delivery ensuring safe, efficient, and patient‑focused care
4. Plan, allocate and review workloads, offering constructive feedback and development
5. Take responsibility for effective use of physical and financial resources
6. Implement, monitor and refine departmental policies and processes
7. Delegate tasks appropriately to maximise efficiency and service quality
8. Ensure accurate and safe staffing levels aligned to patient needs
9. Promote a culture that actively supports health, safety and wellbeing
10. Lead on IRMER implementation and compliance across the department
11. Foster a culture of equality, inclusion and professional respect
12. Build strong relationships with Consultant Radiologists
13. Oversee all clinical governance, audit, and quality assurance activities
Who we're looking for.
A strong, motivated leader who brings:
14. BSc in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent)
15. Significant post‑qualification experience as a Senior Radiographer, Team Leader or Manager
16. Proven experience in leading teams to deliver operational and clinical success
17. Analytical thinking and confident decision‑making
18. Experience with RIS/PACS and IEP systems
19. Strong understanding of IRMER legislation
20. Excellent written, verbal and organisational skills
21. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
22. A genuine passion for delivering high‑quality diagnostic care
23. MRI experience (highly desirable)
